Description: This dataset describes the geological of the Precipice Sandstone in the Surat Basin and Eromanga Basins, the Helidon Sandstone (or Ripley Road Sandstone) in the Clarence- Moreton Basin and represents layer fourteen (14) in the MODFLOW groundwater model of the Surat Basin. The dataset was adapted from Habermehl, MA & Lau, JE 1997, Hydrogeology of the Great Artesian Basin (Map at scale 1: 2 500 000), Australian Geological Survey Organisation, Canberra. The Habermehl and Lau data set was corrected and extended using 1:100000 and 1:250000 geological mapping.
