Each local government division and ward must contain a “reasonable proportion of electors” as defined by the </SPAN><A href="https://www.legislation.qld.gov.au/view/whole/html/inforce/current/act-2009-017" STYLE="text-decoration:underline;"><SPAN>Local Government Act 2009 (Qld), Part 2 Councillors for divisions of local government areas</SPAN></A><SPAN>. </SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P><P><SPAN>A small number of local government divisions will be reviewed in 2023 to ensure all divisions meet their elector enrolment requirement prior to the 2024 Quadrennial Local Government Elections.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P><P><SPAN>Divisional boundaries were created by aggregating Statistical Level 1 (SA1) polygons according to electoral divisions determined during the 2021/22 Local Government Boundary Reviews.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN> </SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Current divisions are populated with current and projected elector counts (at 31 January </SPAN><SPAN>2023 </SPAN><SPAN>and 31 March </SPAN><SPAN>2028</SPAN><SPAN> respectively), as well as percent elector deviation from the allowable elector quota at each date.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P><P><SPAN>Current and projected elector data were obtained from the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) and the Queensland Government Statistician’s Office (QGSO) respectively.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
